Kappa League

The Kappa Leadership Development League of the Indianapolis Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. is targeted at creating impact with our African American youth. Our goal is to preserve a high standard of excellence that creates a brand as one of the elite youth programs for African-American males in the Marion County area.
Some of the key areas of focus of the Kappa League program are community involvement, college exposure and access, and personal accountability.  Examples of topics addressed in the Kappa League curriculum include:
  • Understanding the importance of civic responsibility and politics
  • Community service
  • Current events
  • Career exposure
  • Budget management
  • Transitioning to college
  • Importance of involvement in high school clubs, sports etc.
  • Dressing for success


Kappa League members have participated in community events like the following:

  • American Cancer Society: Make Strides against Breast Cancer
  • Black Men Stand Up Workshop
  • Kings Feast Workshop
  • Indiana Black Expo
  • Circle City Classic Parade
  • IPS Elder Watson Diggs School #42 Christmas Community Service Event
